Misura Group is excited to announce a new partnership and company expansion. Jim Moody will be joining the firm as the Consulting Director.
I am excited to introduce Jim Moody, Consulting Director at Misura Group. Jim brings a wealth of experience and a unique skill set that makes him an invaluable resource, particularly for family businesses.
Jim served as the president of the Construction Suppliers Association (CSA) for an impressive 17 years. During this time, he focused on understanding the challenges faced by family lumber and truss businesses. Recognizing that the failure to address family business issues, such as succession planning, posed a significant threat, Jim spearheaded initiatives to develop programs for both next-generation and current-generation leaders. His work in this area, coupled with his empathetic yet direct personality, has made him a go-to expert in family business matters.
Jim often asks poignant questions to those he coaches:
Are you pursuing your passion?
What is your true purpose?
If you believe you have a different calling, what are you waiting for?
The answers to these questions inspired Jim to personally undergo a career shift toward consulting in 2022.
Before his tenure at CSA, Jim contributed to various trade and professional associations. In recognition of his outstanding service and accomplishments in association management, he received the Clifford Clarke Award from the Georgia Society of Association Executives in 2017.
Jim holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Berry College, an MBA from Mercer University, and has completed the Emory University Executive Coaching Diploma Program.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Jim finds joy in travel and landscape photography, often combining the two whenever possible.
