"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies inside us."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

As a 30+ year veteran of the LBM industry, Dena has held various positions in her career, from trading commodities, purchasing and sales management for Georgia Pacific and Boise Cascade, to Regional Sales Director of the Mountain Region for Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company. Prior to joining the Misura Group, she held the position of Vice President of Organizational Development for Kodiak Building Partners and previously served as the EVP for Mountain States Lumber Dealers Association. She studied at the University of Northern Colorado and Kennedy University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

By intentionally building her career in all facets of the LBM industry, Dena has a unique perspective and advantage to understanding the many challenges that our industry faces in an ever-changing environment. She is a passionate advocate of building people and companies. Legislative advocacy is also a priority, and Dena has held various board positions within NLBMDA in Washington, D.C., where she served as the Chair for the Federated Executive Group. She is currently the Vice President and Legislative Delegate for the MSLBMDA Board of Directors. In her spare time, Dena enjoys spending time with family and friends in the outdoors, playing golf or virtually any competitive sport. She has recently developed an interest in yoga but has found that it may require more patience and grace that she possesses.
