The Business:

Our client is an industry-leading multi-unit truss manufacturer serving multi-family, residential, and production builders in the Southeast. They are seeking an experienced leader to join their team and spearhead the sales team for the organization. They serve a large region in the Southeast with a network of plants collectively generating a robust $250m in annual revenue.

 

The Opportunity:

The VP of Sales will be a pivotal partner in shaping the business strategy for the organization going forward. Leading a team of 15, the selected candidate will lead the creation and implementation of the sales strategy for the business. This role will require a nuanced understanding of regional market dynamics, enabling strategic implementation of market-specific strategies to best serve the builder segments. The ideal candidate must excel at building relationships with cross-functional teams. Experience in truss manufacturing or framing is crucial to thrive in this role.

 

What you will need to be successful:

  • Proven experience leading a team implementing strategic sales initiatives across various markets
  • Demonstrated success in attracting and nurturing high-performing sales teams, fostering an environment of growth and achievement
  • Adept at building trust and rapport with seasoned cross-functional teams, ensuring cohesive collaboration and effective communication
  • Must possess robust technical acumen, specifically within the truss/component or framing/construction sectors. Deep understanding of project lifecycles, enhancing the ability to provide tailored solutions
  • Committed to long-term relationships and a customer-centric approach, prioritizing client satisfaction and exceeding expectations at every stage of engagement
