Our client is a building materials distribution leader based in the heart of the Midwest with a national presence. They generate $600 million in revenue through organic growth while maintaining a humble, family-first, outdoor enthusiastic culture. They are on a high growth trajectory. Their building material customers sell to custom residential builders and remodelers. The Opportunity:

As the Senior Manager of National Accounts, you will focus on developing and nurturing customer and company relationships to drive strategy and enhance market penetration. Integral to the position is the ability to engage national/regional management teams and effectively communicate initiatives. Collaboration and cross-functional teamwork are essential to ensuring brand cohesiveness and strong relationships at all levels. You will understand the company’s value proposition, aiming to complement dealer offerings and facilitate builder growth strategies. This role will require 70% travel initially, gradually reducing as relationships solidify over time.


What you will need to be successful:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in business development and/or national account level sales within the Lumber and Building Materials Industry

  • A history of success creating and executing value-add sales strategies and solutions for current and targeted customers

  • Demonstrated ability to drive effective multi-level communication and relationships with key decision-makers

  • Proven experience working within a team and proficiency at cross-functional collaboration

  • An individual contributor to oversee an existing book of business, with cross-functional collaboration to meet the organization’s growth targets of 10% year over year

  • This role offers the flexibility to work from home, ideally located near a metro area for convenient travel accessibility
