Sales Manager, Specialty Products

Our client is a $150M, multi-location, full-line lumber and building materials dealer based in the Central United States. They specialize in serving professional custom and semi-custom homebuilders and remodelers. To fuel their continued growth, they are expanding their product offerings to include premium specialty products, including: windows & doors and cabinetry. The Opportunity:
As the Sales Manager of Specialty Products, you will leverage your expertise in specialty products including premium wood and composite windows and doors to create and develop a builder program (sales and installation) targeting custom builders and remodelers. With a current customer list of over 80 custom builders, your focus will be developing a sales program for the OSR team to to introduce high margin products and acquire additional wallet share from these existing customers. While also creating a specialty product selling process for new customer acquisition. As you develop new business and revenue, you will also build a Specialty Products Sales Team and mentor other branch sales representatives.
What You Will Need:
- Experience in creating, developing, and leading specialty product builder programs
- Ability to transform a sales culture by elevating specialty sales mindset verses commodity mindset
- Impactful people leadership: ability to attract, build and develop a high-performing team
- History of leveraging vendor resources to train and develop sales teams
- Proven success in new client acquisition as well as building wallet share within existing clients
