The Business:
We have partnered with a leading dealer of specialty building materials with a strong national presence selling to residential and multi-family builders. This organization promotes an outstanding culture that focuses on the value of it’s customers and associates. Developing their people and encouraging a culture of empowerment is critical to their strategy.
The Opportunity:
As President you will have full P & L responsibility for a $200m market and be the primary accountability leader for all anchor partners within the market. You will partner and influence as needed all key internal and external stakeholders. You will also provide leadership and direction to ensure strategic goals, performance standards and best practices are implemented. Most importantly you will build and scale a new operating platform in an emerging marketplace.
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
- Leadership in Mergers & Acquisitions: Demonstrated experience in guiding organizations through complex acquisitions and mergers, with a focus on unifying diverse teams under a cohesive culture of shared values, standardized practices, and streamlined processes.
- Sales & Operations Leadership: Proven track record of leading sales and operations teams within the building materials sector, particularly with building material dealers. Expertise in driving revenue growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing customer relationships.
- Full P&L Responsibility: Comprehensive experience in managing the full profit and loss (P&L) for organizations, ensuring financial health, sustainable growth, and alignment with long-term strategic goals.
- Leadership of Large Organizations: Successfully led organizations with revenue exceeding $100 million and a workforce of 100+ employees, driving performance improvements and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Production/Track Builder Experience: Extensive background in production and track building, with deep industry knowledge and the ability to translate operational strategies into tangible results.
