The Business:
Our client is a $50m dynamic, highly entrepreneurial manufacturing business specializing in sales to builders and contractors. The primary goal for our client is to seamlessly integrate their builder clients into the company infrastructure, with a focus on nurturing high-quality, sustainable partnerships built on trust and mutual benefit. They go beyond mere transactional relationships by actively assisting small businesses in addressing their operational challenges.
The Opportunity:
As the Business Development Manager, you will assume responsibility for a significant territory generating over $8m in revenue, with a targeted growth of 10% annually. This role will predominantly focus on cultivating partnerships with existing builders (75%) while also actively prospecting for new clients (25%). As part of our company’s offerings to clients, you will have the opportunity to provide a comprehensive suite of tools, including a software kit designed to streamline customer processes. This role requires a moderate level of technological proficiency to effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise.
In addition to managing accounts and projects at the same time, this role also involves being a Business Builder, serving as a consultant to contractors. This position offers an exciting opportunity within a supportive team environment under strong leadership, where ample resources are available for leverage and continuous learning. You will prioritize long-term relationships over short-term gains, emphasizing consultation and partnership-building rather than traditional sales tactics.
