We, as individuals, spend our lifetimes searching for the answer to the question: “Who am I?” For us, this is a critical question – not just because it’s at the core of what we do for others but it’s been at the core of our lives in a special way. We, Tony and Michele, are both adopted children and grew up with this question, and an uncommon ability to assist in the process for others. We believe this is at the core of our mission and brings a unique perspective to the work we do for our clients and candidates.
Tony Misura, President
Tony is the founder and operating leader for Misura Group, providing recruiting services to the building products industry since 1999. The company’s vision has never changed, “Helping people embrace who they are and discover who they can become.” Building the business to support that vision and serving company leaders in recruiting successful teams is his passion.
The dynamics of serving the building products industry for 30 years has allowed Tony to witness best practices in various competitive markets across the nation. Actual business case analysis combined with a passion for continual learning has led to insightful perspectives. He is a frequent industry speaker and regularly contributes articles to ProSales Magazine and LBM Journal. Recently, he and Greg Brooks co-hosted The HR Council, an exciting new venue serving the human resource leaders of the lumber and building materials dealer industry.
Tony currently serves as chairman of the National Association of Executive Recruiters. NAER naer.org/ is an association of recruiting firm owners and leaders committed to high ethical standards supporting the industry.
Tony lives in Hudson WI, with Lyn and their 5 children. On weekends you will find him fly-fishing the Wisconsin rivers for trout and smallmouth bass in the summer and running his English Setters in the upland woods in the fall.
Michele Burger, Vice President
Michele is the vice president for Misura Group and has been with the organization since its start in 2007. She played a key role in developing the company vision and best practices that are still used today. Prior to joining Misura Group, Michele worked with Tony at Focus Executive Search and previously started in the building materials industry at Andersen Windows.
The combination of industry background, recruiting experience, and exceptional relationship building skills makes Michele a top recruiter and a huge asset for both our clients and candidates. She truly enjoys connecting individuals with opportunities to reach their personal and professional goals.
When she’s not in the office you can find her at her daughter’s softball or basketball games, or gardening in her spare time.
Laura Schreiner, Marketing Manager
Laura Schreiner joined the team in May 2017 as the Marketing Manager. She manages the marketing database and technology side of the business, while developing growth strategies and implementing processes to support company goals.
Her professional background includes her previous position as the Marketing Manager for a language translation company as well as experience in event planning and sales in the hospitality industry.
She likes to maintain an active lifestyle of running, weight lifting, and playing volleyball. In the summer she enjoys volunteering as the photographer and game day coordinator for the nonprofit football team she owns with her husband.
Emily West, Sourcing Recruiter
Emily West joined Misura Group in November 2017 as a Sourcing Recruiter. She supports our clients by researching and identifying strong talent in the building materials industry.
Prior to joining Misura Group she worked in the hospitality industry for five years where she developed excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and be flexible.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, staying active and spending time outdoors. She loves watching football and is a huge Green Bay Packer fan.
Sarah Germain, VP Sales Development
Sarah Germain joined Misura Group in February 2018 as the Vice President. Her primary role is to grow the business through client acquisition and retention, while actively networking and building relationships with industry leaders.
Her professional background includes leading a sales team in Higher Education to help council students through the recruitment process, as well as experience in the nutrition industry.
She currently enjoys a healthy, active lifestyle with family and friends – traveling, hiking, camping, and marathon running. She is an active former patient with the Shriners Hospital organization.
