We, Tony and Michele, are both adopted children and grew up with this question, and an uncommon ability to assist in the process for others. Tony Misura, President
Tony is the president and top recruiter for Misura Group and has been serving individuals and their families in the lumber and building materials industry since 1987. He started Misura Group in 2007 after buying the Building Industry Division of Focus Executive Search, the recruiting firm he had been at since 1999. There he had learned the dynamics of the recruiting business from leaders of an established firm and learned how to create a national network of top executives. He brought their mission of helping top professionals align with top organizations to Misura Group and has continued to aid in the growth of many professionals and companies. He has since diversified to include M&A advisory and sales and management consulting.
His previous experience includes leadership and management roles in various locations and working for the Menards corporation where he got his start in high school working in the company’s corporate office for John Menard before becoming the company’s youngest location manager at 23.
Tony currently serves as chairman of the National Association of Executive Recruiters, www.naer.org.
Having been adopted himself, Tony supports Children’s Home Society of America and Catholic Charities Adoption.
Michele Burger, Vice President
Michele is the vice president and a top recruiter for Misura Group and has been with organization since its start in 2007 where she played a key role in developing Misura Group’s process. She continues to bring exceptional relationship building and people skills, outstanding project management abilities, vision and strategy building skills that make her an integral part of Misura Group’s success in executive recruiting, consulting, and networking.
Previously, Michele began working with Tony in 2005 when she joined as the Director of Executive Recruiting for Focus Executive Search until he bought the division out and transformed it into Misura Group. Before finding her niche in recruiting, she was part of the Andersen Windows organization and gained experience in National Account Management and Dealer Development. She also has professional skillsets in operation management, identifying new marketing opportunities, and team/talent growth and management.
Laura Schreiner, Marketing Manager
Laura Schreiner joined the team in May 2017 as the Marketing Manager. She was brought on board to lead the transition to a new database and continues to manage that process along with supporting business development, communications, and events.
Her professional background includes her previous position as the Marketing Manager for a language translation company where she led a team of specialists in business development and global communications. Prior to that role she began her career doing event planning and sales in the hospitality industry.
She likes to maintain an active lifestyle of running, weight lifting, and playing volleyball and enjoys volunteering with the nonprofit football team she owns with her husband.
Robin Johnson, Executive Recruiter
Robin Johnson joined Misura Group in October 2016 as an Executive Recruiter. She contributes to the team’s outbound recruiting efforts by actively networking and building relationships in the industry.
Prior to joining Misura Group she has worked in recruiting, career coaching, and as a Certified Emergency Dispatcher.
She volunteers as a career coach for a women’s shelter and enjoys black and white photography and playing acoustic guitar.
Ashley Raboin, Executive Recruiter
Ashley Raboin joined Misura Group in October 2016 as an executive recruiter. She contributes to the team’s outbound recruiting efforts by actively networking and building relationships in the industry.
Her professional experience prior to joining Misura Group includes over two years as a recruiter and career coach as well as three years in sales.
She has two kids, enjoys hiking and reading, and is currently attending American Intercontinental University for her human resources degree.
